Leaders gather in Brisbane
05 July 2015 by News Desk100 mayors from around the world gathered in Brisbane for a four-day summit aimed at boosting two-way trade and commerce.
Delegates from 135 cities will debate issues such as Urbanisation and hear speeches by Lord Sebastian Coe and Zuckerberg Media chief executive Randi Zuckerberg.
Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk said: “Visiting delegations are here because they want to do business, seek new partners, opportunities and technologies”.
Business transactions negotiated during the summit are expected to deliver ongoing economic benefits across all the Asia Pacific countries involved, delegates were told at the 2015 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors Forum.
