Youngsters emigrate to Australia

14 July 2016 by News Desk

Young people accustomed to free movement around Europe are disappointed and many now want to emigrate to Australia.

emigrate to AustraliaEmigrate to Australia has become the rallying cry among many young people the majority of whom voted for Britain to stay in the European Union.

“For those disillusioned by Brexit Australia offers a lifetime opportunity,” says Darrell Todd, founder of thinkingaustralia.

“We have seen a rush of inquires from young people who’ve just left university and are now wondering what kind of a future they might have in UK”.

“Australia remains a land of opportunity and welcomes graduates with open arms”.

Economic fall-out from the Brexit vote has led to fears of recession with currency, trade and jobs now feeling the negative effects of the vote.

A slowdown in the UK economy will badly hit younger workers who are trying to get a start in the job market.

And it is not only young Brits that are now looking overseas for opportunities following the Bexit vote. Many 20-30 year old workers from EU member states currently living in UK now fear for their own status and job security.

“European citizens working in Britain have no idea if they’ll be allowed to stay in the country when Brexit is finalised,” says Darrell Todd.

“They may not have been eligible to vote in UK but many are now planning to vote with their feet – and Emigrate to Australia”.
