Kylie aims for Australia No 1

12 September 2015 by News Desk

ent_KylieMinogueKylie Minogue is planning a chart comeback in Australia by teaming up with her sister Danni to record a Christmas single.

The pair who were both born in Australia will record a version of the Wham! Hit, Last Christmas, which was first released by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley in 1984.

Kylie, 47, and Danni, 43, have previously recorded together once when they teamed up in 2008 to cover the ABBA hit The Winner Takes It All for a TV comedy drama.

Kylie, Australia’s most famous pop export, split from her record label earlier this year after a fifteen year-long relationship and, after some time away from the charts, is now keen to progress her music career.

Sister Danni, meanwhile, has forged a career as a judge on TV talent show The X Factor after a B-league career as a singer.

Kylie has never ruled out a duet with her sister. She told reporters in 2011: “We would definitely love to do something together again. We’ve both been in showbiz a long time. We know the ups and downs of it.”
