ind_computerUnisys is seeking a Desktop Engineer to work in Perth, Australia.

Unisys provides high-level services in consulting, systems integration, outsourcing, infrastructure services and enterprise server technology. The role will be a 12 month Contract, On-Site for Large High Profile Government Client. Minimum requirement is a current, NV1 Commonwealth Clearance.

The Role – You will be part of a large support team, on-site at a major government client. You will be involved in providing level 2 BAU support activities relating to the terminals, peripherals or network. We are looking for motivated, talented individual who can start ASAP with an active Federal Government Security Clearance.

Key Skills

Proven experience providing 2 level technical support for desktop, network and peripherals.
Be physically fit
Be able to work 7.5 hours per day 5 days a week (with possibility of overtime.)
Knowledge of routers and switches would be beneficial
Knowledge of passive infrastructure (cabling, patching) including fault finding and peripherals is required
Knowledge of Software installations over multiple windows platforms;
Knowledge of resolution of hardware and software issues over multiple windows platforms
Some knowledge of Network troubleshooting
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with internal and external clients;
Must hold current Federal Government Security Clearance (NV2 ideal, NV1 minimum)
Current manual Australian Driver’s License (MUST)
