Housing supply falls 4.8% in Australia
13 June 2015 by News DeskThe total number of properties listed for sale in Australia has fallen by 4.8% in the past 12 months.
Over the past four weeks 42,030 new properties came onto the market, 5.3% less than a year ago, according to a CoreLogic RP Data report.
And across the country’s capital cities, the number of properties listed for sale is 7.5% lower than at this time in 2014.
In the past 12 months the total number of properties listed for sale in the country’s capital cities were:
Sydney 16,662 (-24.6%)
Melbourne 29,014 (-10.0%)
Brisbane 18,322 (-1.7%)
Adelaide 7,637 (-5.0%)
Perth 19,479 (10.8%)
Hobart 2,789 (-11.3%)
Darwin 1,543 (33.8%)
Canberra 1,904 (-19.6%)
