China Eastern fly to Brisbane

25 August 2015 by News Desk

travel_china-easternChina Eastern is to launch direct flights between Brisbane and Shanghai from January 2016.

The airline, that has an arrangement with Quantas, plans an initial three flights per week on the Shanghai-Brisbane route beginning January 16. The flights will feature Airbus A330-200 jets, the latest version of which offers 30 fully-flat business class seats.

The airline also says it plans to boost its Sydney-Shanghai and Melbourne-Shanghai services and to operate these twice a day between September and February. Sydney-Shanghai is the only route which Qantas operates to mainland China, with daily Airbus A330-300 services departing 60 mins before China Eastern’s own A330-200s on the same route.

Qantas also shares business on China Eastern’s Melbourne-Shanghai and Sydney-Nanjing-Beijing flights.
