Australia to cut taxes for small business

11 May 2015 by News Desk

australian-money001The federal government in Australia is set to deliver tax cuts of more than 1.5 per cent for thousands of small businesses.

A multibillion dollar package, due to be unveiled in the forthcoming national budget, will include accelerated depreciation of assets and new incentives for small businesses to hire people. It will also expand the definition of a small business to ensure benefits are spread more broadly.

Darrell Todd, CEO of thinkingaustralia, says: “Job opportunities for migrants will be given a major boost by the 2015 budget. Small businesses are the backbone of the Australian economy and employ the greater proportion of people in Australia”.
