28% rise in Darwin house sales

The number of properties listed for sale in Darwin has increased 28.8% in the past 12 months.
In the latest nationwide survey Perth was the only other capital city to see an increase in properties for sale in the year to June 2015. Perth and Darwin saw year-on-year increase in listings, with total Perth listings up 14.8% and total Darwin listings up 28.8%
Sydney has seen the biggest fall in sales listings with the number of dwellings for sale down 19.1%. Melbourne and Canberra saw falls of 14.6% and 13.7% respectively while across all capital cities the number of properties listed for sale in the year to June 2015 fell by 6.5%, according to CoreLogic RP Data.
