Winter arrives in Victoria

Winter arrived in Victoria this week, sending Melbourne’s temperature plummeting and bringing snowfalls to the ski fields.
Temperatures in the city are forecast to reach a maximum of 13 degrees for most of the week, with snow likely to fall on locations above 600 metres.
Temperatures at Falls Creek dipped to a low of -1.2 just before 8am at the weekend, bringing moderate snow ahead of predicted heavy evening snowfalls.
Melbourne’s days should warm slightly by the end of the week, with a top of 15 degrees forecast for Friday and 16 degrees for Saturday.
