Winter arrives in Victoria
03 June 2015 by News DeskWinter arrived in Victoria this week, sending Melbourne’s temperature plummeting and bringing snowfalls to the ski fields.
Temperatures in the city are forecast to reach a maximum of 13 degrees for most of the week, with snow likely to fall on locations above 600 metres.
Temperatures at Falls Creek dipped to a low of -1.2 just before 8am at the weekend, bringing moderate snow ahead of predicted heavy evening snowfalls.
Melbourne’s days should warm slightly by the end of the week, with a top of 15 degrees forecast for Friday and 16 degrees for Saturday.
