21 July 2016 by News DeskMigrate to Australia – A wide of jobs in the healthcare sector are being created to meet new targets set by the government.
Migrate to Australia – up to 1,750 new full-time jobs will be created in Tasmania in the next three years and thousands more across other Australian states.
The new jobs boost is being driven by the National Disability Insurance Agency that aims to improve healthcare provision for the disabled Down Under.
In Tasmania alone the new policy is expected to boost the state economy by over $260 million.
Christian Porter, Minister for social services, told reporters that the current workforce required to support the NDIS in Tasmania will have to grow by around 80 per cent by 2019.
“We anticipate there will be up to 600 new jobs created in Hobart, up to 500 in the north west, up to 250 in the north and up to 200 in both the south and Launceston,” he said.

The resulting increased demand for quality, value-for-money services, new products and technologies will not benefit the existing healthcare sector and also new enterprises.
Rising demand for disability support services in Tasmania is forecast to more than double to around $480 million by 2019.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme will ultimately support over 10,500 people with disability in Tasmania, many of whom live in remote or rural locations.
David Bowen, NDIA CEO, said the new policy will present new opportunities for healthcare workers and service providers in rural and remote areas.
The number of registered NDIS providers in Tasmania has risen from 98 to 228 and more than doubled in the past two years.”
