Australian emigration dream: Elizabeth Todd

19 May 2016 by News Desk

Like millions of women Elizabeth Todd is a mother with a full-time job. She is also living the Australian emigration dream.

Elizabeth Todd says: “I work all hours, for myself and others and still hunt for bargains when shopping. Like most, I want something better for my family – I have hopes and ambitions. Whether good times or bad, I try to give thanks for the blessings that I have.

“I help to run a highly successful company. I go ‘Walkabout’, travel the world, help other people, see joy in their faces and make dreams come true. My personal experience proves that anyone can kick-start their life, make the best for a family and live their dream.

“But it wasn’t always like that. A single mum, bringing up three boys in Pembrokeshire in Wales with two part-time jobs, in a pub and cleaning the church that gave me enough to run a beat-up car and go shopping once a week. My life and horizons extended as far as my meagre earnings lasted.

“Then, out of the blue, I fell in love again and married an Australian. My life has been transformed – not just by my Man – but the joys of discovering Australia: the land of every possible opportunity.

Elizabeth Todd – living the Australian emigration dream

“It’s been a journey of true love and I’m so lucky. But the path has not been without pain and anxiety, the need of change and heartache in the decisions that need to be considered and taken to achieve the ‘dream‘. But it’s been worth and … in spades.

“I’ve lived and visited all states of Australia, enjoyed my every visit to this ‘Magical’ country of endless opportunities. Now I’m Living the Dream and loving my new life with my Man and his Country.

“One son has always called Australia home. My newly wed eldest and his wife are just beginning the process of Migration, aiming to begin a family in Australia. My youngest will also soon start a new life Down Under.

“My mother at first rejected the idea of moving but after a visit to Perth, she’s 100% convinced. Now there’s no stopping her. Mum wants to visit the ‘sunshine’ East Coast – ‘because the men look nicer’. MUM… you’re 80yrs old!!!

“Today, when I meet and talk with folks in UK – workers, professionals, families and kids – I know what they’re going through and why they want to migrate, live and work and build a new life in Australia ‘cos I’ve been there, often, and I’m now doing it myself.

“The business I help to run has provided me with the opportunity to live my dream, and now, to share my experiences – and to help other people live the dream also.”

Over the past 25 years Elizabeth Todd, along with husband Darrell Todd, has helped thousands of people live and work in Australia.
