RE: absolutely gutted |

| Anyone thought of the youth work option? it looks as though 3 years experience doing much of the same work as social work (as long as its with kids) will meet the eligibility criteria. as an alternative to 3 or 4 years training.
Lilaclunar what was the name of the agency you used? it would be good to know.
Thanks for all the helpful discussion everyone

RE: Building in Australia |
04 July 2008 |
| Hi
Darren has searched the net about this and found out that you can live in a caravan on the land but you have to get permission and follow certain guidelines. I don't know whether it depends on the local council or not, though.
We found these two sites but there were others:
www.herveybay.qld.gov.au/community/health/Temporary%
www.cockburn.wa.gov.au/Council_Services/Health_Services/Caravans/

RE: David's and Dianne's Timeline |
03 July 2008 |
| Our year anniversary was taken up with birthday celebrations for our now 4 year old. It rained for his birthday - can you believe it?
Hubby is still working although the pay is !!!! I have just completed a gruelling term at uni training to be a teacher.
Still renting as priced out of the market BUT the walk to the beach complete with surf and beautiful white bellied eagles makes it all ok. We bought a kayak to enjoy the rivers more at our own pace. Most days are sunny and make life's troubles feel less - well - troubling.
Our children love the beach and whenever we go away they ask to come home after a day - they love home so much.
Just had an education on box jelly fish and stingers. Very adept at thonging spiders. Still jump a mile when a gekko jumps on me and cannot bring myself to handle even the tiniest of crocs at the local attractions!!! So still basically a squeemish Pom.
